Just saying…..

I remember the time when I reached puberty and I dreaded going to any family events over at dad’s side. Mingling with cousins are pretty much fine for me. There was once I “accidentally” set a fire in my Aunt’s wardrobe with my favorite cousin, Aishah.

Those times were great…

but not when the other Aunties trying to hook you up with their sons. Hello, we were only nine, I think. Reason is, the makciks (aunties) will “chope” you for the future.

Yes, for Arab girls if we do not get married to Arab boys, we would lose our Sharifah or our children will not carry on the title of Syeds/Sharifahs. Yadayadayada.

I got arranged by the makciks like a couple of times and even Mom agreed to it behind my back. But I got rebellious and I have my way, My Dad! xD

In fact, I was not the same like the others. I chose to take interest in other stuffs like following my maternal Aunt to Japan for two weeks after PSLE. Rofl~  Got influenced with the culture and the rest is history.

My story isn’t going anywhere.

What I am trying to say is that if only Muffin was a Syed, I could have save my future children for not losing their Syed/Sharifah titles. On top of that, my paternal uncle had claimed that marrying a non-Syed is Haram. But Islam taught us the otherwise. I am still asking around who is more in depth bout Arab and Islam. Dad has no comments cos he just wants me to be happy with the choice I made.

Honestly, I am grateful to have met Muffin and I believe he could guide me in the future. InshaAllah. (Cos I fell for you even deeper when you lead the prayer last Saturday)

ps: Unless Maher Zain is single, I will take him into consideration since he’s a mix from the Middle East. XD

Next, I would really love to see him in concert! Even it means getting my butt to London!
